Nanny Services

A Travel Nanny accompanies a family on a trip abroad or in the UK. They are responsible for all aspects of childcare assuring the trip runs smoothly. Including navigating airports, fun activities and evening babysitting whilst you enjoy a child-free evening.

It costs from £250/day for 24 hour care plus expenses. Please contact me  for a quote or for more information.

Ad Hoc childcare day or night, tailored to your family's needs

An ad hoc nanny is a childcare professional that can come in and take over childcare duties at any time day or night. It is a great option for parents who want the flexibility of choosing when they need childcare with the standards of a professional nanny also without the hassle of employing someone.

Maybe your regular childcare has let you down, you need a couple hours here and there to concentrate on work or you just want to enjoy a child free evening out!

Prices/Packages

7:00am to 7:00pm

  • Up to 3 Children from one family £20/Hour
  • Additional Children from the same family £1.00 Extra/Hour
  • Two Family Share £15/Hour Per Family

7:00pm to Midnight

  • Up to 3 Children from one family Monday-Friday £15/Hour Saturdat-Sunday £16/Hour
  • Additional Children from the same family £1.00 Extra/Hour
  • Two Family Share £10.50/Hour Per Family

After Midnight

  • Up to 3 children from one family-£20.00/Hour
  • Additional Children from the same family £1.00 Extra/Hour
  • Two Family Share £15.00/Hour Per Family

A nanny would generally have a Level 3 diploma in childcare and if not qualified they would have a minimum of 2 years childcare experience in a childcare role. A nanny is responsible for ensuring the children are cared for in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. Dependent on the age of the children and any other individual requirements the nanny will be expected to base their role on those needs.

A nanny should be able to show good organizational skills

Excellent communication skills and understand of children’s behavior

Be positive and able to deal with challenging situations

Have lots of energy and enthusiasm

Be imaginative and creative

To be flexible and open to change

Ensuring all children’s basic needs are met.

Ensure that their daily routine is consistent.

Ensure they have fun and exciting activities planned.

Making sure that each child’s developmental and educational requirements are met.

Reporting back to parents about the children’s days.

Plan menus and cooks healthy meals for the children

Cleaning and tidying where children are involved e.g nursery, playroom and children’s laundry- agreed with nanny on what is expected of her.

  • Good understanding and knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
  • Have insurance- public liability insurance ensures that the Nanny has the essential cover needed in case anything happens when children are in their care.
  • Updated DBS.
  • Previous experience.

Sleep practitioners put together a sleep routine, reflective on the parents’ and child’s needs, can work remotely and provides ongoing support to the family. A night nanny works to give parents a break, a night off to rest. The night nanny will make up feeds and give as needed to the baby and supports in implementing and informing families of positive sleep associations and development needs of babies.
